Royal Phoenix Shiraz 2016 “Super-rich in dark, chocolate-laced fruit. Charry spice and really intense fruit. Deep, rounded texture. Power and length but all still in balance. Big, big wine. Very intense, sip slowly." (JH) 16.5 points (out of 20)
Royal Phoenix Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 “100% new French oak for 18 months. It's a sweet expression of the variety but it flows well and has satisfying persistence. Boysenberry and redcurrant flavours are only lightly dressed by cedar wood and peanut-like notes from oak. It won't go anywhere in a hurry but it's arguably best consumed youngish.“ 90 points.
VFC Grenache Shiraz 2016: (Excellent, Highly Recommended) “This red blend is full of juicy fruit-filled aromas. A cascade of raspberries and cherries are playful in the mouth. Notes of earthy berry seed contribute to a sturdy structure. The finish is supremely clean.” 91 points.
