Grape Variety & Vineyard: 100% Shiraz from Ulupna’s own vineyard in the Goulburn Valley, Central Victoria
Wine Analysis: Alc/Vol: 14%, TA: 5.9g/L, pH: 3.6
Eye: Deep red with crimson hues
Nose: Prominent roses and violets, followed by pomegranate, dark morello cherries, rosemary and plums with eucalyptus, quince and fresh mint to finish.
Palate: The nose carries through to the palate with spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg before a long finish of morello cherries and roses.
Food Matches: Fiorentina, slow cooked lamb and venison
Conclusion: Beautiful, bold and complex wine with a solid structure. The more the wine is focused on, the more that is found.
