Percheron Rosso 2019

Overview: Percheron of Ulupna is a line of wines born from the collaboration between a winery with a tradition of over 50 years and a vineyard area of 50 hectares.

Viniviticultural Details: Vineyard of medium hills (250 m asl) over 20 years old exposed to the south-east, planted on clayey-calcareous soil, ideal for red grape varieties with a very low yield per hectare, 8 Ton/ha maximum. Late harvest, around mid-October to promote sugar concentration and reduce total acidity in order to preserve the fruity and softness of the wine for longer.

Grape Variety: Pure Merlot

Wine Analysis: Alc/Vol 14,5 % vol   T.A.  5,5 pH: 3.45

Eye: Classic deep purple colour

Nose: Intense aromas, of little red fruits and cherries

Palate: Good structure with harmonic balance and soft tannins

Food Matches: Ribeye steak, pasta and rich sauce, seasoned cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano 30 months.
